Dr. Murali Thondebhavi

President, AORA India

It gives me immense pride and joy to welcome you to the AORA Global Summit 2027 at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake.

As I begin my term as President of the Academy of Regional Anaesthesia (AORA) India, I do so with deep gratitude for the strong foundation laid by those before me, and with great optimism for the road ahead. Our academy has always been driven by a simple but powerful belief—that better regional anaesthesia means better care for every patient, everywhere.

AORA Global Summit 2027 embodies this spirit. It is more than a conference; it is a global forum for learning, dialogue, and shared progress. From live procedure demonstrations and the Big Screen Video Arena to the AORA Courtroom, USG Wars, PBLDs, and our Delegate Dialogue Forums, this summit is designed to make learning active, engaging, and deeply practical. Here, learners, teachers, and innovators from across the world will come together to exchange ideas, challenge conventions, and shape the future of our specialty—including the expanding horizons of POCUS and chronic pain.

What makes AORA special is not just the science, but the sense of family and shared purpose that binds us. Every lecture, every workshop, and indeed every conversation becomes an opportunity to learn and grow together.

I warmly invite you to join us in Mumbai—to learn, to teach, to question, and to connect. Let us continue this shared journey with one global purpose, so that every patient receives better care, making us all one.

I look forward to welcoming you personally.

With warm regards,
Dr. Murali Thondebhavi
